Style Notes | "It's about these chic women who ride bikes to work, to brunch, to a cocktail party," Lim said backstage before the show.” [Source] That's funny. I am so not a ride a bike to work kind of girl. But I do like some of the themes seen within Phillip Lim’s Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear collection, presented during New York Fashion Week:
Green is a color that adds a playful pop of sophistication to an outfit. So seeing different shades and fabric textures of the color made me excited. And while I don’t own a ton of green pieces—the pieces I do own—are among the best in my wardrobe. Seriously, green has the ability to wake up a dull outfit instantly!
Leather Sleeves is the second theme that left me gasping for air. Because I love leather! But sometimes it's difficult to find pieces that are not overly dramatic, like for the office. That is until I saw Phillip Lim's perfect balance of comfortable fabric and leather. Superb! These looks are so my style!
Final notes: I still won't be riding my bike to work, brunch or a cocktail party in any of these looks. However! I will arch my arm on the car steering wheel in efforts to show off my leather Phillip Lim sleeves.
